Results
- Request-to-quote flow designed to take under two minutes
- Automated matching of clients to the best provider with no human intervention
- Instant quote generation replacing manual back-and-forth
- Qualified, clearly briefed leads delivered to providers
Numinam built Squadra, a team building activity marketplace for companies, pairing an intelligent matching algorithm with instant automated quoting to turn a request into a qualified provider connection in minutes. No more endless searches, redundant forms, and manual quotes. I worked on a user experience that transforms a request into a qualified, fully automated connection.
The Challenge: Removing Friction From Team Building Quotes
Organizing a team building event remains a frustrating experience for most companies. You have to browse dozens of websites, send quote requests, wait for responses, compare offers that are often incomparable. Squadra wanted to radically simplify this process.
The technical challenge: build a marketplace capable of understanding the client's actual need, automatically identifying the best provider, and generating an instant quote — all without human intervention.
Each of those steps adds delay and uncertainty. Browsing dozens of sites means evaluating providers with no shared frame of reference, and the offers that come back are often impossible to compare on equal terms. The longer the back-and-forth stretches, the more an organizer loses confidence that the right activity will be found in time.
Squadra's ambition was to replace that drawn-out cycle with a single, guided flow. Rather than asking companies to do the searching and chasing themselves, the platform needed to absorb that work and hand back a clear proposal — turning a process measured in days into one measured in minutes.
The Approach: An Intelligent Matching Algorithm and Instant Quoting
I designed the platform around an intelligent matching algorithm:
Collection of the client's actual criteria (group size, budget, activity type, location);
Automatic identification of the best provider based on those criteria;
Instant quote generation with no waiting;
Provider-side validation system to accept or decline the assignment.
The UX was designed so that the entire process — from initial request to quote reception — takes less than two minutes. Each step eliminates a friction point from the traditional process.
The matching logic starts from the criteria the client actually cares about — group size, budget, activity type, and location — and uses them to narrow the field to the single provider best suited to the request. By working from concrete criteria rather than open-ended browsing, the algorithm removes the guesswork that makes manual comparison so slow and replaces it with a decision the platform can make on the client's behalf.
The provider-side validation step keeps the automation grounded. Once a connection is proposed, the provider can accept or decline the assignment, so the algorithm handles the matching and quoting while the people delivering the activity retain the final say. That balance lets the flow stay instant for the client without committing a provider to work they cannot take on.
The Outcome: A Faster Marketplace for Companies and Providers
Squadra has become a platform where everyone saves time. Companies get relevant proposals in minutes instead of days. Providers receive qualified leads with a clear brief, improving their conversion rate.
The matching system has proven its effectiveness: the vast majority of connections lead to actual collaborations, validating the algorithmic approach as a credible alternative to traditional brokering.
Part of that result comes from how the leads reach providers. Because each request arrives already qualified and accompanied by a clear brief, providers spend less effort interpreting what a client wants and more on responding to a need they can genuinely serve. A better-briefed lead is a lead more likely to convert, which is what makes the platform worthwhile for the supply side as much as the demand side.
For companies, the gain is just as direct: relevant proposals arrive in minutes instead of days, with none of the redundant forms or chasing the old process demanded. By serving both sides of the marketplace at once, Squadra turns a slow, manual exchange into an automated connection that respects everyone's time.
Frequently asked questions
What is Squadra?
Squadra is a team building activity marketplace for companies. It pairs an intelligent matching algorithm with instant automated quoting to turn a request into a qualified provider connection in minutes, removing the endless searches, redundant forms, and manual quotes of the traditional process.
How does the matching algorithm work?
The algorithm collects the client's actual criteria — group size, budget, activity type, and location — and uses them to automatically identify the best-suited provider. It then generates an instant quote with no waiting, and the chosen provider can accept or decline the assignment through a provider-side validation step.
How long does it take to get a quote?
The experience was designed so that the entire process, from the initial request to receiving the quote, takes less than two minutes. Each step removes a friction point from the traditional path, where comparing offers and waiting for responses could stretch across days.
How does Squadra benefit activity providers?
Providers receive qualified leads with a clear brief, which means less time spent interpreting requests and a better conversion rate. A provider-side validation system lets them accept or decline each assignment, so the automation handles matching and quoting while providers keep the final say.
