- Autonomous back office allowing the marketing team to create and publish game pages without a developer
- Scalable architecture allowing new ranges to be added without development work
- Visual consistency maintained between ranges while preserving the identity of each game
Repos Production is an internationally recognized board game publisher. They needed a tool capable of monitoring the diversity of their worlds, and allowing the internal team to manage everything without external help. I designed and developed a modular site and a custom back office for them.*
The challenge: a single website for multiple board game universesé
Repos Production is one of the most recognized board game publishers in the world, with titles like 7 Wonders and Concept. Each game has its own graphic universe, its own identity. The site had to reflect this diversity while maintaining overall coherence.. The marketing team needed complete autonomy to create new pages, update content and deploy new visual universes, without depending on a developer for each modification.. The difficulty consisted of holding together two seemingly opposing objectives: each game had to have enough freedom to express its own graphic identity, while keeping a coherent site as a whole so that visitors would always recognize it as that of Repos Production. Too rigid a template would have standardized the games; too open a template would have let the overall identity disintegrate page after page..
The approach: a modular front-end and an autonomous back-officee
I developed a fully modular front-end and a back-office designed for flexibility::
- System of visual themes per game, allowing you to create new graphic worlds in a few minutes;;- Modular front-end architecture with reusable components;;- Intuitive back office giving total autonomy to the marketing team;;- Performance and ability to grow at the heart of every technical decision.. I designed the site as a product, not as a showcase. Each function of the CMS starts from the way the team actually works, not from a theoretical specification.. The team applies a distinct visual universe on top of the same components, rather than rebuilding a page with each title release. And since these components are shared, an improvement made once benefits all ranges at the same time..
The result: a CMS that the marketing team manages alonee
The site has become a real communication tool for Repos Production. The team creates and publishes new game pages with their complete graphic universe in complete autonomy, and the developer is no longer an obligatory channel for current updates. Adding an entirely new range follows the same path as adding a single page.. Visual coherence between very different ranges is maintained thanks to the theme system, while preserving the unique identity of each game. The site now reflects the quality and creativity that have made Repos Production's reputation in the board game industry..
Frequently asked questionss
How can the marketing team publish new game pages without a developer??
The site combines a modular front-end with a back-office designed around how the team actually works. With reusable components and the per-game theme system, the marketing team creates pages, updates content and deploys the complete graphic universe of a new game without depending on a developer..
How does the site maintain a consistent look while giving each game its own identity??
A system of visual themes is applied on top of shared and reusable components. The components ensure the overall consistency of the site so that visitors always recognize it as that of Repos Production, while the theme layer gives each game its own distinct graphic universe, preserving the unique identity of each title without fragmenting the brand..
Can we add new game lines without development work??
Yes. The architecture was designed for scale: adding an entirely new range of games follows the same path as adding a single page. New ranges can be added without the need for a developer, allowing the site to keep pace with the publisher's catalog as it grows..
How quickly can a new graphic universe be created??
Because the theme system relies on the same reusable components, a new visual universe can be assembled in minutes rather than waiting for a development cycle, instead of rebuilding a page each time a title releases.
